Pairs and DNA

A Pair is a token made of other tokens. Its recipe is the DNA.

A Pair is a launch whose token is created against a recipe of between one and five existing tokens. The recipe is the token's DNA. It is fixed at creation and cannot change.

recipe 40 WIF : 35 BONK : 25 JUP
token quantities per unit, not percentages, not value weights

Quantities are token quantities

40 WIF : 35 BONK means forty whole WIF alongside thirty-five whole BONK per unit of the recipe. It is not 40% and 35% of anything. In the API each component has a quantity, in base units of that component per unit of the recipe.

A quantity says nothing about value. 25 JitoSOL : 25 JUP reads as a balanced pair and is almost all JitoSOL by value, because one JitoSOL is worth far more than one JUP. For the value share read valueBps on each component: it is the share now. launchBps is the share at creation and targetBps is what the creator asked for, when they asked in percentages. Any of them is null when it is not known, which is not the same as zero.

What a buy and a sell do

A buy delivers the recipe's components to the launch and receives the launch token. A sell returns them. A buyer who does not hold the components has them acquired in the same transaction from public pools, which is why a quote can carry a route with legs.

Fees

Fees are stated per trade in the quote (feeBps) and in the launch (feeBps, creatorFeeShareBps). The rates, as of 2026-10-10:

RateSplit
Pairs, on the curve1.25%creator 20%, platform 80%
Pairs, in the pool1.25%creator 50%, platform 25%, set aside 25%
Collectibles2%

Read the rate from the quote of the trade you are about to make; do not hard-code it.

Prices

priceSol and dnaUnitSol are null when any component has no measured price. A partial sum would be a smaller lie, so the API leaves the figure out. A quote, not a launch field, is the authoritative price of a trade. priceE12 is an internal quote unit scaled by 1e12: comparable between rows of the same launch, not a currency.
